MATERIAL CONSTRUCTION

Solid sheet or laminated panel?

A similar visible finish can be supplied on different constructions. Confirm what is underneath the surface before comparing quotations.

Compare construction and fabrication requirements
Solid stainless steel sheetThe sheet substrate is stainless steel throughout its thickness. A PVD colour coating is a surface treatment; it does not by itself make the sheet a laminated panel. Confirm the stainless grade and sheet thickness separately from the finish.
Laminated or composite panelA stainless steel facing may be bonded to another backing or core. Ask for the facing thickness, backing material, total panel thickness and construction details.
Confirm before fabricationAsk the proposed supplier to confirm suitability for your cutting, bending, edges, joints and installation method. Do not treat sheets and bonded panels as interchangeable based on photographs.

These are specification distinctions, not a statement that every illustrated finish is available in either construction. Availability is confirmed with the proposed supplier.

SAMPLE APPROVAL

Agree what the sample represents.

Use the physical sample and a written approval record together. Set project-specific acceptance criteria with the supplier and the person approving the material.

View the sample approval checklist
Base finish and colourRecord mirror, hairline or other texture separately from colour treatment. Confirm whether the requirement is natural silver without colour coating or a specified coated colour.
Direction and viewing conditionsMark the grain direction and visible face. Agree the lighting, viewing angle and conditions used to assess appearance.
Sample identity and approvalRecord the supplier, finish reference, sample dimensions and approval date. Identify who approves it and retain an agreed reference sample.
Production and repeat ordersAsk how production will be compared with the approved sample, how batch variation is handled and what must be checked for replacement or repeat orders.

Sample availability, cost and dispatch timing are confirmed per supplier. No universal colour tolerance or batch-match guarantee is implied.

BEFORE A QUOTATION

Details worth settling early.

SteelVista supports sourcing and coordination. Supply availability and commercial terms are established for each opportunity.

Explore broader Korean material sourcing
Can I request samples before ordering?

Tell us whether you need a finish chip, a larger panel or a fabricated sample. Sample availability, dimensions, cost and dispatch timing are checked with the proposed supplier.

What are the MOQ and lead time?

There is no single confirmed minimum order or lead time across these finishes. They depend on the supplier, grade, dimensions, finish, quantity and processing. We clarify these conditions before an order decision.

How should colour and finish be approved?

Use an agreed physical sample and written acceptance criteria. Ask the supplier about batch variation, finish direction and replacement orders. Screen images are useful references but should not be the only approval basis.

Should I contact a manufacturer directly or work with SteelVista?

Direct contact can suit buyers who already have a chosen supplier, a complete specification and the capacity to manage the discussion. SteelVista can help when the requirement still needs clarification or you need support coordinating potential Korean supply options, sample questions and commercial follow-up. The scope, fees and role of each party are agreed for the opportunity.

How is Korean material origin confirmed?

Tell us whether your requirement concerns the steel mill origin, the location of surface finishing or both. We ask the proposed supplier to identify these stages and provide the documentation your project requires. A supplier’s Korean address alone does not establish the origin of every material or processing step.

Is SteelVista the manufacturer?

SteelVista is a sourcing and coordination partner. We explore potential supply options; we do not manufacture these materials or offer a confirmed stocked catalogue. Supplier identity, origin, availability, commercial roles and terms are established for each opportunity.
